The Employee of the Month for March is Buffy! Buffy has been nominated for her incredible technical skills and her unwavering dedication to our patients and the team. Recently, we faced a high-risk, last-minute surgery that wasn’t on the schedule. Without hesitation, Buffy agreed to stay well past her shift to provide the specialized anesthesia support needed for such a tricky case. The surgery was a success! Her commitment didn’t stop there-she continued to stay late for the next three days to help the team manage several other late-day surgeries. Her willingness to go above and beyond ensures our patients receive the best care possible, even when the unexpected happens.![]()
Buffy has been a valued member of the Mountain View Veterinary Hospital team since 2011. She began her career here as a veterinary assistant before advancing into her role as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Buffy always knew she wanted to work with animals, and with encouragement from a close friend, she pursued formal training at Argosy University in Minnesota, where she graduated from the Veterinary Technology program in 2010. Her favorite parts of the job include drawing blood, placing IV catheters, and providing skilled care for patients who require anesthesia.
Outside of work, Buffy enjoys relaxing with movies, putting together puzzles, and reading. At home, she is happily owned by her cat, Reddington, who keeps her company.![]()
