We are incredibly proud to recognize Suzanne as our Employee of the Month for her exceptional dedication and profound team spirit! As a receptionist at Mountain View Veterinary Hospital, Suzanne’s role is critical to our daily flow. This month, she truly went above and beyond, earning an outstanding number of nominations from the team. Suzanne demonstrated a self-sacrificing attitude by repeatedly coming in on her days off to cover for sick staff members, ensuring seamless operation for our clients and patients. She brings her passion into the clinic daily, often stepping out to interact with our fuzzy patients and always willing to help other staff members with their work. Suzanne embodies the very best of teamwork at Mountain View.![]()
Suzanne, a local from Olympia, joined us in January 2023, seeking to combine her love for cats and dogs with helping people and their pets. She loves the welcoming, family-like atmosphere here, and we're thrilled that her goal is to stay at Mountain View until she retires! When she’s not at the hospital, Suzanne enjoys being active outdoors, hiking and camping with her husband, and pursuing hobbies like crochet and diamond painting. Of course, her life is also ruled by her four wonderful dogs: Amp, Bella, Tank, and Roxy! Thank you, Suzanne, for your commitment, positive energy, and genuine dedication to the Mountain View family!#MountainViewVet #EmployeeoftheMonth #Vetmed

Caring for senior pets this winter?![]()
As the temperatures drop, our senior pets need a little extra care to stay safe and comfortable. Here are a few simple ways to support your older furry friend this winter:![]()
• Opt for shorter, gentler walks: Cold air can be tough on aging joints. Stick to shorter outings and take it slow to avoid discomfort.
• Layer up and stay visible: A cozy sweater or coat helps keep body heat in, and reflective gear makes sure your pet is seen on darker days.
• Protect those paws: Snow, salt, and ice can cause irritation or cracking. Pet-safe balms or booties go a long way in protecting sensitive feet.
• Keep an eye on mobility: Stiffness, limping, or hesitance to move can be signs of joint pain. If you notice changes, it's worth a check-in with your vet.![]()
Your pet’s golden years deserve all the warmth and comfort we can give. If you have questions about your senior’s winter wellness, we’re here to help.![]()
